Greenham Common WW 2

Greenham Common air base looking west during WW2. The runway layout was standard RAF A pattern which was altered after WW2 when SAC bombers arrived.

The crash sites are to the center left side then going off the picture.

Today, the A339 Newbury--Basingstoke road runs through much of the area wreckage had been scattered. Newbury is in the distant top-- right of center.
